Fulfilling Buddha's Vision: In Ordination, Buddhist Nuns Seek Equality
Voice of America | December, 2021
"Fulfilling Buddha’s Vision: In Ordination, Buddhist Nuns Seek Equality" focuses on the struggle for gender equality in Buddhism, one of the world's oldest and most widely practiced religions. The documentary examines the reemergence of bhikkhunis – ordained female Buddhist monks – who are reclaiming their place within the Buddhist religious hierarchy some 1,000 years after nuns were last fully ordained. Their resolve to overcome challenges and opposition offers evidence of the strong resilience often manifested by faith.

Sharing their complicated journey on social media, they navigate marriage and a new life as refugees—future unknown.

Finalist, 17th Annual Shorty Awards 2025, Documentary
Best Short/Mid-Length Documentary, Queer North Film Festival 2024, Canada

"Love In Transition takes us inside the marriage of Jane and Love as they navigate a series challenges most couples will never face: one partner transitions; they find themselves fleeing war-torn Ukraine; relocating to a country neither has ties in-Switzerland; building a social media fan base as a queer couple while Love struggles with resentment and regret over Jane’s transition. The ambivalences, conflicts and compromises revealed seem more realistic- and heart-breaking- than many stories depicting relationships shifting from heterosexual to queer."
